Army inflicts severe casualties on terrorist groups’ leaders, destroys heavy weaponry
27/11/2013 – Terrorists are getting killed in large numbers in various areas as the army units are pounding their gatherings and dens and destroying their equipment and cars, many of which are loaded with heavy machine guns, home-made rockets and explosive devices.
Terrorist groups eliminated in Damascus Countryside
The army units carried out several operations in many areas in Damascus Countryside, killing scores of them and destroying their hideouts, gatherings, weaponry and equipment.
An official source told SANA reporter that the army killed dozens of terrorists affiliated to the terrorist groups of “Jabhet al-Nusra”, “al-Mustafa Brigade” and “al-Islam Brigade” in the town of Deir Salman in the eastern al-Ghouta. Head of al-Islam Brigade was killed in the operations along with two other terrorist groups’ leaders, Bilal Haroun and Abdul-Rasoul Darwash.
The source added that an army unit killed all members of an armed terrorist group in al-Naharyeh town. Terrorists Ismael al-Zabadi and Mohammad Taha were identified among the dead.
Another army unit killed a number of terrorists in the town of al-Qasmyeh, among them was their leader, Imad Hamad.
Terrorists’ hideout was destroyed in the town of Deir al-Asafeer, killing the terrorists hiding in it and destroying their weaponry and ammunition. Terrorist Saleem Taleb was identified among the dead.
The army targeted terrorists in the areas of Joubar and Erbeen and killed nine of them.
In Damascus western countryside, the army units targeted and destroyed a terrorists’ hideout in the city of al-Zabadani and destroyed a 23 mm anti-aircraft machinegun, killing scores of terrorists, among them were Ahmad Areedi and Bassam Salman, of the Lebanese nationality.
Members of an armed terrorist group were killed in the town of Souq Barada, among them was Fedaa al-Omari.
The army carried out a series of operations in the areas of al-Nabek, Reema Farms, Yabroud and Deir Attyeh, targeting terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings and eliminating huge numbers of terrorists. Terrorists Waleed Jarrah and Ahmad Hamami were identified among the dead.
Meanwhile, the army continued operations in the areas of Babila and Barzeh, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their hideouts and gatherings. Terrorists Abdul-Salam al-Jalad, Mahmoud al-Ghoush and Ahmad Salwan were identified among the dead.
Terrorists’ gatherings razed in Aleppo
A unit of the armed forces razed a terrorists’ gathering and destroyed two of their cars which were loaded with weapons and ammunition in the surrounding of al-Kindi Hospital in the countryside of Aleppo, according to a military source.
The source told SANA reporter that other army units killed all members of armed terrorist groups in al-Lairamoun, al-Mansoura and the surrounding of the Central Prison.
Several dens of armed terrorist groups were destroyed by army units in the villages and towns of Babees, Erbin, Kweires, al-Jadideh and Handarat, with all the terrorists inside them were killed, the source added.
Army units also clashed with terrorists in the neighborhoods of al-Marjeh, al-Ansari, Bustan al-Qasr and al-Rashdin in the city of Aleppo. Many of the terrorists got killed.
Meanwhile, army units foiled an attempt by an armed terrorist group to infiltrate towards al-Safahiyeh garage, killing and wounding its members.
Terrorists’ gatherings and a number of their vehicles were destroyed in Bab Qansarin in the old city of Aleppo, after army units seized control of the gold markets and the areas of al-Zarab and Kheir Beik in the old city last Saturday.
Terrorists killed, their cars destroyed in Hama
In Hama, army units eliminated armed terrorist groups to the east of al-Esseileh village, near Tal Hwash and to the north of al-Mdeiq Citadel in the northern countryside of the province, a military source told SANA.
The source stressed that a number of the terrorists’ cars which were loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the operations.
Terrorist groups’ leaders targeted in Idleb
A den for leaders of armed terrorist groups was destroyed in Ein Larose village in the countryside of Idleb, according to a military source.
The source stressed that many terrorists got killed in the operation, noting that most of the dead are of Egyptian, Jordanian, Libyan and Qatari nationalities.
Among those were Ashraf Mu’az al-Husseini and Murhaf Mohammad Hamadeh from Jordan, Yassin Youssef al-Fayad from Egypt, Fawaz Shawqi al-khalaf from Qatar and Saadallah Taqi al-Sha’ath from Libya.
A unit of the armed forces eliminated a number of the leaders of armed terrorist groups in a qualitative operation against their hideout in the village of Hantutin.
A military source told SANA that an army unit destroyed terrorists’ hideoputs and gatherings, killing all terrorists inside them and destroying their weapons and ammunition in Maarat Misrin, Binnish and Nahliya.
The source added that an armed terrorist group’s infiltration attempt into Jabal al-Arba’in was foiled, terrorists were also killed or injured and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
Army units, during the last few weeks, foiled several infiltration attempts into Jabal al-Arba’in which the army has regained control over it on last September 13 after eliminating the last gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra in it.
Scores of terrorists killed, rockets, bombs and machine guns destroyed in Lattakia
Army units killed 9 leaders of the so-called “The Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham” terrorist group that is affiliated to al-Qaeda, in addition to killing 11 terrorists and injuring 11 others and destroying two heavy machine guns mounted on two cars in Wadi Hzeirin and Salma town in the northern countryside of Lattakia, said a military source.
Another army unit, the source told SANA, killed 8 terrorists and destroyed a heavy machine gun mounted on one of their cars in Saqiet al-Kirt area.
A car loaded with locally-made rockets was destroyed, killing all the terrorists killed in it, including Riyad al-Awa, in Ghmam village, while 18 other terrorists were killed in a special operation that targeted their den in al-Khadra village, including Omar al-Bahr and Issma al-Qasem.
In Ein al-Qantara village, an army unit destroyed three cars loaded with explosive devices and killed and injured tens of terrorists.
The nicknamed Abo Turab from Jordan, who is the leader of the so-called ‘Iftaa Circle’ of the Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham, was identified among the dead, in addition to an Iraqi terrorist.
Terrorists ambushed in Homs
Army unit set an ambush for an armed terrorist group near Um al-Tababir village in al-Friqlous area to the east of Homs, killing all members of the terrorist group and destroying a truck and a pick-up loaded with weapons and ammunition for them, a military source told SANA on Tuesday .
Another source told SANA that a unit of the armed forces destroyed terrorists’ hideout in al-Zara farms and al-Hosn, al-Ghasbieh village and surrounding al-Dwair, killing a number of terrorists.
The source added that the army eliminated a snipre who was positioned on a residential building in al-Karabis and Jouret al-Shiyyah neighborhoods, in addition to destroying terrorists’ gathering near al-Tahya Mosque in Bab Hud.
Army eliminates terrorists in Daraa countryside
A military source said that a unit of the armed forces eliminated an armed terrorist group tried to infiltrate from Inkhel village into al-Sanamin village in Daraa countryside and destroyed their weapons and ammunition.
The source told SANA that terrorist infiltration attempt into the National forest in the village of Tisil in the western countryside of Daraa was foiled, terrorists were eliminated , among them Munzer Ahmad al-Muti, Isam Abdullah and Mohammad al-Dairi.
Another army unit destroyed a terrorist’s hideout in the area surrounding Bilal al-Habashi Mosque in the city of Daraa, killing all the terrorists inside it and injuring others.
